SDO PASAY KICKS OFF NATIONAL READING MONTH WITH DIVISION PROFICIENCY CONTEST

In celebration of the National Reading Month this November, the Schools Division Office of Pasay City headed by Dr. Imelda Boquiren, EPS-English conducted the Division Reading Proficiency Contest for Grades 3-12 at Padre Zamora Elementary School (PZES).

The event’s goals were in line with the national aim of creating a reading culture and developing learners’ comprehension and critical thinking skills at all levels. The contest is one of the anticipated events in the month-long celebration of the Reading Month with the theme: “Bridges of Understanding: Reading for Empathy, Critical Thinking, and Lifelong Learning”.

The event was graced by key SDO officials including OIC-Assistant Schools Division Superintendent, Dr. Quinn Norman Arreza, CID Chief, Mr. Restituto Rodelas, public schools district supervisors (PSDS), principals, department heads, and coaches who guided the students who took part in the ​‍​‌‍​‍‌​‍​‌‍​‍‌competition.
