Schools Division Office - Pasay City

Pasay City National High School celebrated its independence in the turn-over of Republic Act 12195, which is an Act of Separating PCNatlHS- Barangay 57 Tramo Campus from Pasay City North High School. This event was followed by the groundbreaking ceremonies on September 17, 2025, at the school gymnasium.

Notable guests were Hon. Antonino G. Calixto, Lone District Representative, Hon. Imelda “Emi” Calixto-Rubiano, City Mayor, Hon. Allan T. Panaligan and Hon. Luigi Calixto-Rubiano, City Councilors were present in the program. Together with the Schools Division Officials of Pasay City were there; Schools Division of Pasay Officials, headed by Dr. Joel T. Torrecampo, CESO VI, Schools Division Superintendent of Pasay and Concurrent Officer in charge from the office of the Asst. Regional Director of DepEd NCR and Dr. Renato B. Mesada, Public Schools District Supervisor of Cluster 10. Along with him, PSDs, Education Program Supervisors, School Principals and Asst. School Principals of Pasay City Schools were present in the said event.

Dr. Sonny J. Adriano, PhD., Principal III, warmly welcomed the officials present in the said event. It was followed by a speech from Vice Mayor Mark Anthony Calixto. Meanwhile, Hon. Antonino G. Calixto, Congressman, Lone District of Pasay City also delivered his message to the school community.

A notable highlight of the program was the turn-over speech of the Republic Act by Mayor Imelda “EMI” Calixto-Rubiano. “New dreams, new aspirations and new trials”, she said. It was also noted in her speech that the law that had been forwarded to the congress was now approved by President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. It was remembered that the Republic Act 12195 was signed by President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. on May 08, 2025. It was an act declaring independence from its mother school, Pasay City North High School – M. Dela Cruz Campus.

Furthermore, the turn-over speech was accepted by Dr. Joel A. Torrecampo, CESO VI, Assistant Regional Director, DepEd NCR and Schools Division Superintendent of Pasay City. “Maraming salamat po Mayor Emi Calixto-Rubiano sa inyong walang tigil na pag-suporta para sa ating mga mag-aaral,” Dr. Torrecampo said.

The program concluded with a Groundbreaking ceremony of one of PCNtlHS’ school buildings set to be constructed near the school garden. This was initiated by Dr. Sonny J. Adriano, School Principal III along with Dr. Joel T. Torrecampo, CESO VI, Schools Division Superintendent and Mayor Emi Calixto-Rubiano and among others.
