DIVISION KICKS OFF TRAINING OF 900 ARAL READING TUTORS

The Schools Division of Pasay City officially launched the Division Training of Tutors for ARAL Reading Program training today for 900 ARAL Reading Tutors, marking significant steps in the division’s advocacy to enhance learners reading proficiency. The four-day activity, being held from September 10-13,2025 at Selah Pods Hotel Manila, Pasay City, is set to capacitate the tutors with necessary skills to implement the Academic Recovery and Accessible Learning (ARAL) Reading Program.

The training commenced with the welcome remarks of Quinn Norman O.Arreza, JD.OIC Assistant Schools Division Superintendent. In a message delivered by Joel T.Torrecampo, CESO VI, Schools Division Superintendent, concurrent Assistant Regional Directors,DepEd National Capital Region, who underscored the urgency and importance of the program. He stated, “This training signifies   our unwavering commitment to our students. As the forefront of this mission, your role is crucial in ensuring every child has the foundational skills he needs to succeed.

This massive training is a direct response to call for proactive measures to address the learning losses and skill gaps, particularly in reading. By investing in the professional development of the tutors, the division is setting a strong foundation for the ARAL program’s successful rollout in schools.
